The Fox and the Crow (चालाक लोमड़ी और कौआ)

A story of a crow who lost his bread by believing false praise, teaching us to beware of flattery.

A crow got hold of a piece of bread from somewhere. He flew to a branch of a tree with it in his beak so he could eat in peace.

A fox passing below noticed the bread. Her mouth watered. She thought she would need a trick.

The fox said, “Brother crow, how beautiful you are! I hear your voice is very sweet too. Please sing a song for me.”

Hearing himself praised, the crow swelled with pride. The moment he opened his beak to sing, the bread fell. The fox quickly picked it up and ran away.

The crow was left regretting that he had been taken in by false praise.

🪔 Moral
Beware of flatterers. Behind sweet words there is often selfishness.
