The Thirsty Crow (प्यासा कौआ)

The story of a thirsty crow who raised the water in a pot by dropping pebbles, teaching resourcefulness and patience.

In the summer heat a crow flew far and wide looking for water but found none. His throat went dry and his wings lost their strength.

Tired, he landed in the courtyard of a house. A pot stood there. The crow peeped in and saw a little water, but so far down that his beak could not reach it.

The crow wondered what to do. He tried to tip the pot over, but it was too heavy. Then his eyes fell on some small pebbles lying nearby.

An idea came to him. He picked up pebbles one by one in his beak and dropped them into the pot. With every pebble the water rose a little.

Soon the water reached the mouth of the pot. The crow drank his fill and flew off, pleased with his own cleverness.

🪔 Moral
In trouble, do not panic. Think calmly and find a way. Where there is a will, there is a way.
