The Greedy Dog (लालची कुत्ता)

A story of a dog who lost his bread after seeing his reflection on a bridge, explaining the cost of greed simply.

A dog got hold of a big piece of bread from somewhere. He carried it in his mouth to a quiet place to eat.

On the way was a small bridge over a river. As he was crossing it, he saw his reflection in the water below. He thought another dog was standing there with a piece of bread.

Out of greed he thought, “If I grab his bread too, I will have two.” In anger, he opened his mouth to bark.

The moment he opened his mouth, his bread fell into the water and floated far away. The dog stared at the water with an empty mouth and stayed hungry.
